Delicious Matar Paneer Recipe: A Flavourful Indian Delight

Matar Paneer is a popular Indian dish loved for its combination of tender peas (matar) and creamy cottage cheese (paneer) cooked in a rich, flavourful gravy. This recipe brings together a harmonious blend of spices and aromatics to create a dish that's not only delicious but also comforting. The list of ingredients:

1. Onions - 2 2. Tomatoes - 2 3. Green Chilly -1 4. Oil - 2 Tablespoon 5. Cumin - 2 Teaspoon 6. Ginger & Garlic Paste - 1 Teaspoon 7. Turmeric - 1 Teaspoon 8. Red Chilly Powder - 1 Teaspoon 9. Salt - As per your taste 10. Peas - 300 Grams 11. Cottage Cheese/Paneer - 250 Grams 12. Matar Paneer Garam Masala - 1 Teaspoon 13. Fenugreek - 1 Teaspoon 14. Coriander For Garnish 15. Cream - 1 Teaspoon

Instructions:

  1. 1. Prepare Ingredients:


    • ✅ Cut the cottage cheese/paneer into cubes.

    • ✅ Rinse the peas if using fresh, or thaw them if using frozen.

  2. 2. Cooking the Gravy:


    • ✅ Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.

    • ✅ Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.

    • ✅ Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

    • ✅ Stir in the ginger & garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant.

    • ✅ Add the chopped tomatoes and green chilli. Cook until the tomatoes soften and the mixture becomes pulpy.

  3. 3. Spice it Up:


    • ✅ Once the tomatoes are cooked down, add turmeric, red chilly powder, and salt according

      ✅ to your taste preferences. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes.

  4. 4. Adding Peas and Paneer:


    • ✅ Add the peas to the gravy and mix them well.

    • ✅ Gently add the cubes of cottage cheese/paneer to the mixture. Be careful not to break them while stirring.

  5. 5. Simmer and Blend Flavours:


    • ✅ Sprinkle the Matar Paneer Garam Masala and fenugreek over the mixture.

    • ✅ Lower the heat, cover the pan, and let the dish simmer for about 8-10 minutes. This allows the flavours to meld together beautifully.
